In late November
of 1994, a group of believers being led of the Holy Spirit, held
an organizational meeting at which time the name “Stanley New
Hope Pentecostal Church” was chosen.
By the leading of
the Lord the congregation rented the former Stanley Adventist
Church building. With the first service held on December 11,
1994. God’s love led the congregation with perfect love and
harmony those first months!
In August of 1995,
the membership by God’s hand elected Pastor Tony Cubbage as
their first Pastor on a Part Time basis.
God blessed the
Church mightily and in late winter of 1997, a parcel of land was
purchased on Farmview Road and by May of 1998, a beautiful house
of worship was completed.
By March of 2002,
the church was completely debt free. Twelve years ahead of final
payment date, Glory to God!
In July of 2002,
Pastor Cubbage was elected as a full-time Pastor.
Pastor Cubbage and his wife Linda served until July of 2003. In
September 2003 interim Pastor Randy Miller his wife Deanna, and
children Whitney and Billy were introduced to New Hope Church.
On November 23,
2003 the membership elected Randy Miller to serve as Pastor of
New Hope church.
In July of 2006
the Lord blessed New Hope Church with a new van enabling us to
start a van ministry in our community.
In the fall of
2008 a new picnic shelter and children’s play area were
completed. The Lord has added many to our fellowship at New Hope
Church in September of 2008 an additional parking lot was added
to make for ample parking for everyone.
We at New Hope
believe the best is yet to come!
